This eye surgery promotion lets you choose the method that best suits your eyes: non-incisional (natural adhesion) double eyelid surgery, incisional double eyelid surgery, or canthoplasty (eye-widening).

This event is for anyone getting eyelid surgery for the first time or looking to change the shape of their eyes. Depending on your eyelid condition, the right option is chosen from non-incisional (natural adhesion) double eyelid surgery, incisional double eyelid surgery, or canthoplasty (eye-corner opening) after diagnosis and consultation. The clinic analyzes the structure of your eyes in detail and designs the line with the proportions of your face and eyes in mind.

Who it's for

  • Anyone who wants a natural-looking double eyelid that doesn't look "done"
  • Anyone with thick eyelid skin or excess fat who needs both a defined line and some contouring
  • Anyone whose inner eye corners are hidden by epicanthal folds, or whose outer corners look heavy
  • Anyone who wants to enlarge their eyes horizontally and vertically for a brighter, more open look
  • Anyone who'd like to find out first which procedure suits them, since there are several options

Procedure

  1. Diagnosis and line designThe surgical method is chosen based on skin thickness and sagging, fat volume, the distance between the eye and eyebrow, and eye-opening strength. The double eyelid line is selected from out-line, in-out line, semi-out line, and in-line to suit your facial proportions.
  2. Natural adhesionWithout any incision, tiny holes are made in the eyelid and a thread connects the eyelid skin to the eye-opening muscle to encourage adhesion. This suits eyes with thin skin, no sagging, and little fat over the upper lid. Surgery takes around 30 minutes.
  3. IncisionalThe eyelid is incised along the designed line, sagging skin and fat are removed, and the double eyelid is fixed in place. This suits eyes with thick or sagging skin, a lot of fat, or lines that come undone easily, and is also used when ptosis correction is needed at the same time. Surgery takes around 40 minutes.
  4. CanthoplastyMedial canthoplasty (inner corner) corrects the epicanthal fold to open up the inner corner of the eye, while upper canthoplasty opens the area above the outer corner to extend the eye upward. Lateral canthoplasty (outer corner) opens the outer corner outward, lower canthoplasty opens the area below the outer corner downward, and dual canthoplasty combines lateral and lower canthoplasty. For lateral canthoplasty, the clinic explains that it reattaches the ligament supporting the outer corner of the eye to the bone.
  5. Selection and confirmationWith this event, you choose one option from natural adhesion, incisional, or canthoplasty after consultation. Anesthesia is sedation or local anesthesia, and no hospital stay is required.

What's included

  • Choice of natural adhesion / incisional / canthoplasty after consultation

Prices include VAT and apply during the clinic's event period. If you have two or more procedures, such as double eyelid surgery combined with canthoplasty, the cost is confirmed during consultation.

From surgery day to recovery

  1. Before surgeryYour eye condition is checked during consultation, and the method and line are decided.
  2. Surgery daySurgery takes around 30–40 minutes, and you go home the same day without a hospital stay.
  3. Surgery day to about day 3Swelling is managed with cold compresses, followed by warm compresses for about 3–4 days after that.
  4. 1–2 weeksRecovery is estimated at 5–7 days for natural adhesion and 7–14 days for incisional. For incisional and canthoplasty, stitches are removed 7 days after surgery; natural adhesion requires no stitch removal. Eye makeup can be worn from about 2 weeks after surgery.
  5. Around one monthFor incisional, major swelling subsides in about 2 weeks, and by about one month it becomes hard for someone meeting you for the first time to tell you've had surgery. Canthoplasty scars take about a month and a half to two months to settle.

Aftercare

  • The clinic runs a program for swelling management, inflammation prevention, and scar care.
  • You'll be advised to avoid alcohol and smoking after surgery. Even if it's tough, avoiding them for at least one month is recommended.
  • According to the clinic, the fastest way to bring down swelling is to keep up with your compresses and go about your daily life as usual.

Doctor and clinic

Board-certified plastic surgeon and head director Dr. Lee Hee-young personally handles both consultations and surgery. Dr. Lee is a member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Korean Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Korean Society of Oculoplastic Surgery. Surgeries are performed under a named-surgeon policy, with no ghost surgery. Consultations are available in Japanese; for other languages, please ask when booking. The clinic is on Nonhyeon-ro, about 300 m from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Station.

Side effects and precautions

  • Swelling and bruising may occur after surgery. According to the clinic, bruises basically fade with time, and there's no special way to make them disappear dramatically faster.
  • With natural adhesion, the line may come undone over time, so choosing the method that suits your eyelid condition is important. Incisional surgery is described as offering firmer fixation with less risk of the line coming undone.
  • Incisional surgery and canthoplasty leave incision scars, which settle over a month and a half to two months.
  • If a lot of the red tissue at the inner corner of the eye (the caruncle) is visible, medial canthoplasty should be decided on carefully. With lower canthoplasty, it's important to check that too much of the lower white of the eye isn't exposed.
  • Bleeding, infection, or inflammation may occur after surgery, so be sure to follow the clinic's aftercare instructions.

FAQ

How do I decide between natural adhesion and incisional?

It's decided after an examination of your eyelid skin thickness and sagging, fat volume, and eye-opening strength. Natural adhesion is often recommended for thin skin without sagging, and incisional for thick skin or a lot of fat.

Can I get canthoplasty on its own?

Yes, you can choose canthoplasty alone. It's often done together with double eyelid surgery, and the cost for a combined procedure is confirmed during consultation.

Do I need to stay in the hospital?

No. For incisional surgery and canthoplasty, you'll need one follow-up visit 7 days later for stitch removal. Please make sure this date is included in your trip to Korea.

What languages are consultations available in?

Consultations are available in Japanese. For other languages, please ask in advance when booking.
