In Korea, spring is more about sejogae than nakgop.
In Korea, when spring comes, sajogae (새조개) starts appearing. It looks like a clam, but the texture is slightly chewy and sweet. It’s usually eaten in a hot pot— something like shabu-shabu. The price is around 30,000–50,000 won per serving. Honestly, it’s not cheap. But its peak season is from the end of winter through spring, so it’s only available around this time of year. Rather than being tourist-oriented, it’s more like “a meal that lets you feel the season in Korea.” If you find it, it’s worth trying once.
