In Korea, May feels like the “Month of Family.”
In Korea, when May comes around, you often see the phrase “Family Month.” May 5 is Children’s Day, and May 8 is Parents’ Day. More shops start selling carnations, and there are more families out and about, so it feels like the atmosphere in the city changes a little too. It’s also the season when more people head to the Han River and parks. The spring temperatures are just right, making it pleasant to spend time outdoors. Seoul is interesting because the atmosphere really does change with seasonal events. Does your country also have a certain “time-of-year feeling”? 🧸
